GREENVILLE – Services for Mary Lou Sheppeard, 88, of Greenville, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2016, at Mineral Heights Baptist Church, 3201 Robin Road, Greenville, with Bro. Robert Cook officiating. Services under direction of Bartley's Lone Oak Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Brigham Cemetery, Campbell.
Mary Lou passed away Friday, July 29, 2016, at a hospital in Richardson.
She was born Monday, May 14, 1928, in Lone Oak, to the late John William and Estus Lee Campbell Denton. She married Elton Ray Sheppeard on May 5, 1950. Mary worked for Haggar Slacks for 35 years before retiring from F&F Metals. She was a member of Mineral Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sister, Robbie Jo Burnett of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Joe Blackburn of Garland; two daughters, Sue Bagwell of Greenville and Kathy Folley of Temple; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Sheppeard; daughter, Cindy Faye Sheppeard; grandson, Philip Blackburn; sister, Faye Hendricks; and brothers, Don Ray Denton and Otis Denton.
Pallbearers will be Brent Blackburn, Bryan Blackburn, Peter Morgan, Carlos Denton, Chris Nichol, and Christian Fortner.
Family visitation will be at the church Monday at 1 p.m.
