Sharon Shinpaugh

Sharon Lynn Shinpaugh (Sherry Lynn) was born September 14, 1944, in Grand Saline. She resided in Red Oak until she retired from Kroger in 2006, and then moved to Quinlan to be near her only daughter and grandchildren.

Sherry passed away at the age of 78 on July 21, 2023, in Tyler. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Hugh C. Shinpaugh; parents, Carl and Odessa Clower; brothers, Weldon Clower, Truman Clower, Edward Clower, Glenn Clower, and Danny Clower; and sisters, Avis Bailey, Joy Green, Betty Kirby, Jean Dickerson, Peggy Rogers, Sue Baugh, Kay Huffines and Billie Watson.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Brian Green of Quinlan; three grandchildren, Courtney Dickerson and husband Justin of Quinlan; Ty Green and wife Landri of Quinlan; and Kyle Green of Quinlan; one great-grandchild, Rhett Dickerson; sister, Jo Gilchrist of Van; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family kindly requests donations to Azalea Trail Nursing and Rehab, 411 Springcreek Rd, Grand Saline, TX 75140, in memory of Sharon.

Visitation will be held 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Bartley Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery.
