Services for Mr. Leslie Ray Sides, 86 of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2012 at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Homer Morgan officiating.
Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Mr. Sides passed away April 23, 2012 in a Grand Saline nursing home. He was born March 20, 1926 in Van Zandt County to William David & Lula Collins Sides. He spent all of his life in Grand Saline where he was a member of Roundflat Pentecostal Church and retired from Morton Salt after 45 years of service. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene Sides of Grand Saline; two sons, Curtis Sides of Arlington and Travis Sides of Scurry; daughters, Linda Hammond and Glenda Mesley, both of Grand Saline, and Sherry Sue Nichols of Houston; nine grandchildren, Dustin Sides, Prestin Sides, Kati Sides, Stacy Yoes, Jennifer Campbell, Bryan Rock, Chris Campbell, Sheri Crum and Billy Rucker; and numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m.Thursday at the funeral home.
