Helen Denton Simpson

Services for Helen Denton Simpson, 66 of Desoto, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday at Creagleville Cemetery with Gerald Denton officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Simpson passed away March 6, 2013 in Arlington. She was born September 25, 1946 in Grand Saline to Leroy & Ollie Mae Anglin Denton. She spent her early years in Grand Saline and 44 years in Desoto. She worked for many years as a Southwestern Bell Operator and also was a Realtor for several years. Her biggest accomplishment was being able to become a "stay at home mom and grandmother". She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Wayne Simpson Jr.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne Simpson Jr. and wife Monica of Arlington, and Doug Simpson and wife Tara of Aubrey; brother, Billy Denton of Pisgah, Al; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Doris & John Manning of Lancaster and Debbie Robertson of Shreveport, LA; three grandchildren, Daniel Simpson, Tanner Simpson and Isabella Simpson; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be A.J. Everest, Chris Dickerson, Craig Davis and Johnny Long.
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services.
