Services for Devonia Smith, 70, of Mesquite, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Herring officiating.
Interment will be in Shields Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith passed away May 2, 2017, in a Dallas hospital. She was born May 27, 1946, in Grand Saline, to Andrew Elmer & Nellie Marie Stone Douthitt, Jr. She spent her early years in Grand Saline before moving to Dallas County 55 years ago. Devonia was preceded in death by her father; and step-daughter, Tricia Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Smith of Mesquite; mother, Nellie Marie Douthitt of Little Elm; three sons, Tracy Groller and wife Amanda of Mesquite, Todd Smith of Mesquite and Garrett Smith of Mesquite; brother, Larry Joe Norris and wife Peggy of Plainview; three sisters, Nawatha Douthitt and Bart Daffern of Little Elm, Patricia Gail Pryor of Mesquite and Kay Norris of Wills Point; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
