Roy Starnes

Graveside services for Mr. Roy Lynn Starnes, 68, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Elm Grove Cemetery, Mabank, with Chaplain Eddy Secrest officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.

Mr. Starnes passed away April 25, 2023, at his home. He was born May 27, 1954, in Dallas. Roy lived in Irving and Keller, where he worked as a customer service agent with Continental/United Airlines, before moving to Grand Saline two years ago. He loved fishing and his family, especially his grandkids. Mr. Starnes is preceded in death by his father, Roy Lee Starnes, and mother, Betty Smith White.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Starnes of Grand Saline; son, Jeremy Starnes and wife Ashley of Boca Raton, FL; two daughters, Amy Simmons and husband Michael of Grand Saline, and Kaley Parks and husband Nathan of Grand Saline; two brothers, Ron Starnes and wife Carole of Sunnyvale, CA, and Mike White and wife Liz of Grass Valley, CA; seven grandchildren, Dylan, Asher, Kenzie, Tylee, Easton, Emersyn, and Camdyn; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Elm Grove Cemetery.
