Callie Starrett

Services for Callie Sue Duncan Starrett, 71, of Yantis, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Bro. Scott Darby officiating.

Interment will follow in Golden City Cemetery, Golden.

Mrs. Starrett passed away April 14, 2022, in Tyler. She was born July 3, 1950, in Mineola, to Russell Daniel and Edith Martha Mayfield Duncan. Callie lived all her life in Wood County and was a member of White Oak Baptist Church in Yantis. She loved dancing and cooking. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert Lee Duncan and James Dale Duncan; and sister, Martha Williams.

Survivors include her son, Christopher Starrett of Yantis; two daughters, Natalie Robinson and Jessica Starrett both of Yantis; brother, Russell Duncan and wife Betty of Kerens; sister, Geanie Bullock of Cason; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Meade, Billy Nunn, Porter Selman, Danny Duncan, Charles Mathews, and LA Osborn.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
