Services for Christopher Blake Strickland, 21 of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Grand Saline High School Gymnasium with Bro. Donnie Herring officiating.
Interment will be at 3 p.m. in Arnold Cemetery, Alto, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Mr. Strickland passed away September 14, 2013 in Grand Saline. He was born August 27, 1992 in Mesquite. He spent all of his life in Grand Saline where he was an avid football and baseball player and loved to hunt and fish.
Survivors include his father, Scott Strickland and Angela Morris of Big Sandy; mother, Tracy Strickland and Tom Convers of Azle; grandparents, Gloria Cumby of Rusk and Cheryl Thompson of Grand Saline; great-grandmother, Erlene Nations of Grand Saline; brother, Bruce Strickland; aunt Renae LaRoe of Grand Saline; uncles, Kevin Strickland of Grand Saline, Stacy Cumby of Slocum and Wesley Cumby of Rusk; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
