Graveside services for Frances Stuart, 84, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Sand Flat Cemetery with Rev. Don Brown officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stuart passed away April 4, 2014 in Mesquite. She was born November 28, 1928 in Port Arthur to Robert Jeff & Magnorah Hall Taylor. She had lived in Grand Saline for 30 years where she was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Women's Auxiliary of Cozby-Germany Hospital. She had also served as the President of the PTA at Reinhardt Elementary and Gaston Middle School and a substitute teacher at Bryan Adams High School. Frances loved to sew and quilt. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Stuart; and three brothers, Julius Taylor, Jeff Taylor and Robert Taylor.
Survivors include her sons, Mike Stuart of Irving and Glen Stuart of El Paso; daughter, Karen Scoggins of Mesquite; sister, Dorothy Jean Edwards of Seymour, MO; three grandchildren, Chris & Monica Stuart, Mindy Shivers and Daniel Stuart; three great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Austin and Juliana; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
