Kenneth Talburt

Services for Kenneth Earl Talburt, 74, of Rockwall, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Paul Stanley officiating.

A private family graveside will be in Woodside Cemetery.

Mr. Talburt passed away from this life on August 13, 2022, in Plano. He was born February 1, 1948, in Little Rock, AR, to Richard Earl & Alden Virginia Henderson Talburt. Kenneth grew up in Wink, Trent, and Grand Saline, Texas. He was of the Baptist faith, and a graduate of Grand Saline High School, Class of 1966. He excelled in all sports, especially football and track, specifically in the pole vault. But Ken’s lifelong favorite sport was golf, and he pursued it with great enthusiasm.

Ken worked at many jobs throughout his lifetime, beginning at the age of 8, as a golf caddy. He retired from UPS and in his retirement, he enjoyed watching Nascar racing, playing many rounds of golf, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Talburt is preceded in death by his parents, and sister & brother-in-law, Linda & Bob Crawford.

Survivors include his daughters, Ashlee Reusink and husband Jared of Rockwall, and Kelli Elaine Carrasco of Mineola; son, Kevin Earl Talburt of Mineola; seven grandchildren, Amberlee and Caroline Reusink, Noah Talburt, Jordan Dawson, Cameron Bowman Carrasco, Carmen Carrasco, and Konner Talburt; two great-grandchildren, Audrey and Katarina; sister, Cynthia Garcia and husband Josѐ; nieces, nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.

To make a long story short, he lived a great life!

Pallbearers will be Jared Reusink, Josѐ Garcia, Harry Clifford, Bruce “Thunder” Miller, Mike Boring, and Kevin Talburt.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.
