Bessie Tarrant

Services for Bessie Mae Moss Tarrant, 97, of Lone Oak, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at County Line Baptist Church, Miller Grove, with Bro. Wayne Darty officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Lone Oak.
Interment will be in Donelton Cemetery, Lone Oak.
Mrs. Tarrant passed away January 15, 2021, in Lone Oak. She was born February 4, 1923, in Hopkins County to Harold Allen and Edna Lela Davis Moss. Bessie married Sammy Tarrant, June 14, 1953, in Leonard. She lived most of her life in Hopkins County and was a member of County Line Baptist Church. Bessie served in the United States Army Airforce during WWII. Mrs. Tarrant was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 47 years, Sammy Tarrant; three brothers, M.R. Moss, George Moss, and Leroy Moss; three sisters, Helen Majors, Elizabeth Sherwin, and Lorene Anderson; granddaughter, Tracey Herring; and great- grandson, Josh Herring.
Survivors include her two sons, Michael Pittman and Charles Tarrant, both of Lone Oak; daughter, Sandra Winn of Greenville; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be James Moore, Chris Moore, George Selander II, and George Selander III.
The family will receive friends 10 a.m., Tuesday, at the church.
