Mr. Taylor passed away May 10, 2019 in Grand Saline after a battle with lung cancer. He was born May 2, 1955 in Dallas, Texas. Billy was a US Army veteran. He joined the Army in Grand Prairie in 1972. He spent most of his 3 years stationed in Hawaii and often talked admirably about it. Billy was also very much loved and adored by many nephews and nieces. He was always a happy and fun to be around person. If he saw a need that he could help with, he was right there. He was a master mechanic! He worked in California on big dairy farm machinery then once he moved back to Texas, he worked on large roadway machinery at Holt Caterpillar in Tyler, Texas and Vermeer in Kilgore, Texas. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Coy Eugene Taylor Sr and Arleta Beatrice Phillips Taylor.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Jimenez and husband Adal and their daughter Juliann Arlita Jimenez, of Grand Prairie and Crystal Taylor and partner Frank Sanchez and their daughters, Kimberly Melara, Elizabeth Sanchez, and Krista Sanchez, of Arlington; three siblings, Jeanette Taylor Szabo and husband Pete of Leander, Kenneth Edward Taylor of the Philippines, and Coy Taylor Jr and wife Joanna Hines Taylor of Phoenix, Arizona; and also a dear cousin, more like another sister, Mary Jo Bosley Steele. Mary Jo has been a great support through this entire sad journey.
The family wishes to thank everyone who loved and supported Billy through his cancer journey. Especially his many close friends. We also wish to give our heartfelt thanks to the owners Michael and Diane Ward and staff at Azalea Trails Care Facility in Grand Saline, Texas, especially Marilyn Thompson and Kyle Thompson. We cannot even begin to adequately convey our thanks to these people. From owners to management to nurses and care givers. This includes Caring Hearts Hospice.
Any remembrance donations please do so in Billy’s name to:
Azalea Trails Nursing Care and Rehabilitation
411 Spring Creek Rd.,
Grand Saline, TX 75140

Their care and generosity go beyond what we could have even imagined or hoped for.
We will forever be grateful!
