Services for Mrs. Catherine "Cat" Taylor, 81 of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Homer Morgan officiating.
Interment will follow in the DFW National Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor passed away December 22, 2012 at a Grand Saline nursing home. She was born May 22, 1931 to Felix & Minnie Sallings Denton. She worked as a seamstress for Haggard Slacks and was Service Department Manager for News-Texan. She attended Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and loved attending the dances at the local VFW. She was preceded in death by his parents; husband, Troy W. Taylor; brothers, Henry Lee Denton, Leroy Denton, Junior Denton and Alfred Odell Denton; and sister, Hazel Henager.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Troy Taylor Jr. and wife Lori Beth of Midlothian; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy Lynn Villanueva and husband Richard of Grand Saline; brother, Leonard Denton and wife Norma of Yantis; and sister, Florence Marie Hernandez and Jerry Lewis Sr. of Canton; 1 grandchild, Richie Villanueva; 2 step-grandchildren, Adam Anspaugh and Kirby Anspaugh; and step-greatgrandchild, Harper.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to the American Lung Association.
The family will receive friends 9 a..m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
