Mr. Milton Uliss Terry, 72, of Alba, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024, in Quitman. He was born November 18, 1951, in Alba, to Uliss Fields and Audie Evelyn Wright Terry. Milton lived most of his life in Alba. He served four years in the US Army. He loved to tinker and make things using his welder. He also loved to dilly-dally with his grandbabies. Milton was a man of principal; he spoke his mind and had a very giving heart. He worked as an automobile mechanic. He could not sell a thing, but he could sell his stories to all. Milton was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Verniece Gilliland, Jane Curtis, and Margie Killgo; brother, Alton Terry; and an infant brother.
Survivors include two sons, Jeromy Terry and fiancé Christine Dorsett of Haslett and Casey Jones of Mineola; two daughters, Melanie Nash and husband Kenneth of Waxahachie and Natasha Carriere and husband Todd of Waxahachie; six sisters, Robbie Schneidwind of Grand Saline, Peggy Young of Arp, Linda Burton of Alba, Carolyn Gary of Alba, Candy Redding of Colony, and Debra Creecy of Golden; eight grandchildren, Mercedes, Jacob, Madelyn, Abigail, Nicholas, Hailey, Valentine, and Lenore; one great-granddaughter, Elli; honorary son and daughter-in-law, Eric and LaLa Marcum; and numerous other relatives and friends. He said he will see y’all again “ over yonder “.
A celebration of life for Milton is scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the Family Community Center of Alba, TX. The family will be having a potluck luncheon, starting at 11 a.m. All are encouraged to join and bring their favorite dish to share. Motorcyclists please join us for a final ride to honor our dad.
