Thomas Wayne Dickerson, 65, passed away on August 4, 2026, at his residence in Grand Saline, Texas.
Thomas was born on December 9, 1960, in Grand Saline to Daniel and Lois Fern Guinn Dickerson. A lifelong resident of Grand Saline, he graduated from Grand Saline High School with the Class of 1979.
Thomas spent many years working in construction, specializing in all types of floor covering. He enjoyed the friendship and fellowship he found at the Mineola VFW. An avid outdoorsman, Thomas loved fishing and hunting. Above all, he treasured his family, especially his grandchildren. He rarely missed an opportunity to attend their sporting events and took great pride in cheering them on. He also had a special place in his heart for his beloved Labrador, Sassy.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Daniel Dickerson and Mark Dickerson.
He is survived by his loving companion, Patty Spence of Mineola; his two daughters, Courtney Harrell and husband Josh of Grand Saline and Shonda Dickerson of Mineola; two brothers, John Dickerson of Grand Saline and Matthew Dickerson and wife Amanda of Fruitvale; five sisters, Ann Clankie and husband Albert of Forney, Lisa Cobb and husband Sam of Edgewood, Pam Melton and husband Rodney of Golden, Loretta Pryor and husband John of Grand Saline, and Christel Turner and husband Shae of Forney; six grandchildren, Joslyn Harris, Aubrey Harrell, Maycee Russell, Tatum Harrell, Kori Morgan, and Larsen Harrell; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society at American Cancer Society/donate.
The family will hold a memorial service to celebrate Thomas's life at a later date.
