Funeral services for Glenda Fisher Thompson, 76 of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Lindsey Ray officiating.
Interment will be in Creagleville Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson passed away September 25, 2011 in a Tyler hospice facility. She was born June 8, 1935 in Grand Saline to Jim & Mary Washmon Fisher. She spent most of her life in Grand Saline where she was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike Thompson; son, Junos Linden “Buddy” Thompson, and infant son, baby boy Thompson.
Survivors include sons & daughters-in-law, Tim & Sheila Thompson of Grand Saline and Scott & Shirley Thompson of Corpus Christi; daughters & son-in-law, Beverly & Ted Eichel of Grand Saline and Mikie Thompson of Mineral Wells; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy & Barbara Fisher of Grand Saline, Keith & Shirley Fisher of Alba and Ralph & Mona Fisher of Grand Saline; sisters & brother-in-law, Arline Koonce of Grand Saline, Audrey Ewalt of Wills Point, Linda Kay & Benny Hollowell of Grand Saline and Sherry Fisher of Grand Saline; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Means, John Means, Billy Woodrum, Timothy Craig Thompson, Jimmy Parkerson and Justin Collins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Ballard and Brandon Eichel.
Memorials may be made to: Hospice of East Texas Homeplace, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, TX.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
