Services for Mr. Larry Thompson, 77, of Flower Mound, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.

Larry Gene Thompson passed away on May 21, 2025, in Bonham. He was born on October 17, 1947, in Dallas County, to Jesse James and Minnie Mae Fritz Thompson. Larry spent his early years in Oak Cliff before being drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969.

After his military service, Larry built homes for Fox & Jacobs and later retired from Henkel Adhesives following 18 years of dedicated service. He made his home in Flower Mound for the past 46 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Thompson; mother, Minnie Fritz Oldfield; sisters, Geneva Thompson Slatton and Opal Mae Thompson Richardson; and brothers, Virgil, Lee, and Bill Thompson.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Juliana Thompson of Flower Mound; son, Marcus Thompson (Deana) of Utica, MI; daughter, Krystal Nelson (Gavin) of Oak Point; step-sons, Carlos Cherigo (Angela) of Anna and John Kirkpatrick (Sarah) of Prosper; step-daughter, Christina Giaimo (Nick) of Denton; and eight grandchildren: Emily, Sarah, Kinley, Kamdyn, Matthew, Jarren, Nathan, and Maverick. He also leaves behind numerous other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
