Beth Thorn

Doris “Beth” Elizabeth Thorn, 77 years old of Grand Saline, TX went home to be with the Lord on Monday August 10th, 2020, while under hospice care after a long battle with cancer. She was born July 6th, 1943 in Grand Saline to Harold & Doris “Ninnie” Meroney. She spent all of her life in Van Zandt County with her husband Ronald Thorn where she raised their children and lovingly looked after her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her two brothers Royal & Reggie Meroney. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ron & Melody Thorn of Grand Saline, two daughters and sons’-in-law, Rhonda & Kelly Williams of Mineola & Bonita and Joe Herron of Aubrey, Tx, and daughter Tami Thorn of Castle Rock, Co; eight grandchildren who called her “MawMaw”, Randall & Rachel Gann, Lacy & Adam Bartlett, Ali Herron, Breanna Thorn, Bradley Thorn, and Willis Thorn; and two great-grandchildren, Righlan Gann and Lillian Gann. Before her passing Beth requested a private family graveside where her and her husband’s ashes will be laid to rest together.
