Tom Allen West

Mr. Tom Allen West, 79, of Grand Saline, passed away September 22, 2025, in Grand Saline. He was born June 3, 1946, in Mesa, Arizona, to Tom Blanchard & Claudia Elizabeth Clay West.

Around age 18, he traveled to play music and got in with the original band, The Poor Boys in 1965, as their drummer. He worked in landscaping, plumbing, and construction throughout his life. Tom traveled many places but settled in Grand Saline. He lived his final years at Anderson Nursing Center. He loved meeting and making new friends. He loved the Lord Jesus with all of his heart.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Tom West and Elizabeth West; and two sisters, Claudia Mae West Tabraham, and Joan Lee West Young.

He is survived by his sister, Betty Ann West Wilson (Lloyd) of Chandler, AZ; son, Tommy F. West of Florida; and daughter, Dina C. West Harger (John) of Fruitvale. He had grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life in Fruitvale at a later date.
