Charles Varnado

Mr. Charles Claude Varnado, 79, of Grand Saline, passed away January 2, 2024. He was born December 19, 1944, in Shreveport, LA, to Zeno Cecil & Margaret Rhodes Varnado. Charles married Sharon Doyal and they moved to Grand Saline in 1974. He worked for Cozby-Germany Hospital and Brookshire's Grocery Co. simultaneously and retired from Cozby-Germany Hospital in 2006. Sharon loved Charles so much. He was a sweet and wonderful husband to her. He was a member of Richland Heights Baptist Church.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles Varnado, Jr.; brother, Jerry Varnado; and sister, Connie Varnado.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sharon Varnado of Grand Saline; son, Kenny Varnado of Grand Saline; and Kathy Lowe of Grand Saline; and numerous other relatives and friends.
