Services for Dorothy Louise Turnham Wade, 85, of Greenville, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, August 6, 2021, at Lone Oak Baptist Church with Bro. Robert Cook officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Lone Oak.
Interment will be in Hooker Cemetery, Lone Oak.
Mrs. Wade passed away July 31, 2021, in Plano. She was born December 24, 1935, in Pilot Point to William Mitchell and Emma Hudson Turnham. She lived most of her life in Lone Oak and was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. She was currently attending and a member of Victory Baptist Church in Rowlett. On July 18, 1950, Dorothy married Howard Dail Wade in Dallas. She enjoyed riding country roads and listening to classic country music. Dorothy loved to read, travel, and to watch old Western movies. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 43 years, Howard Wade; daughter, Emma Jewell Samples; a granddaughter, and a great-grandson.
Survivors include two sons, Nat Wade and wife Karen and Kent Wade all of Lone Oak; two daughters, Carol Taylor and husband Kenneth of Lone Oak and Wanda Samples and husband Garry of Rowlett; two brothers, Billy Turnham of Mesquite and Donald Turnham and wife Evelyn of Bogata; sister, Lillie Barbee and husband Mel of Whitefield, OK; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Nat Wade, Keith Wade, Jonathan Self, Kent Wade, Marshal Wade, and Michael Burns.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday at Bartley Funeral Home, Lone Oak.
