Graveside services for Mr. Tommy Wayne Wallace, 61, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday, April 7, 2014 at Haven of Memories Cemetery, Canton, with Rev. Mr. Richard Lawrence officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Mr. Wallace passed away April 4, 2014 at his home. He was born January 5, 1953 in Grand Saline to Uly Lee & Lula Belle Fears Wallace. Tommy spent most of his life in Grand Saline where he was a member of Main Street Baptist Church and served as Grand Saline Mayor in the early 1980’s. He graduated from Baylor University Law School and was a member of the Texas Bar Association. Mr. Wallace was a State District Attorney for eight years and retired as a State District Judge after twelve years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Gerald Hodge.
Survivors include his daughter & son-in-law, Kristin & Josh Hanna of Crowley; two brothers, Ray Wallace and Ken Wallace; one granddaughter, Berklee Hanna; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Spruiell, Bobby Colacino, Don Sayers, E.W. Ward, Hank Elliott, Dr. John Turner and James L. Welch.
Memorials may be made to the Van Zandt County Juvenile Probation department.
The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
