Robert Wardrup

Celebration of Life for Robert Wayne Wardrup, 80, of Grand Saline, will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Bartley Funeral Home.
Mr. Wardrup passed away July 31, 2021, at his home. He was born November 8, 1940, in Mt. Vernon, to Glen Wayne & Alene Mae Kirbo Wardrup. He spent his early years in Mt. Vernon, and many years in Pleasant Grove before moving to Grand Saline 31 years ago. Robert owned/operated donut shops in Grand Saline and Wills Point for many years. He also owned/operated R&M Trucking in Grand Saline. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sherry Urista; infant daughter, Terri Lynn Wardrup; sister, Elizabeth Newport; and brother, "Pete" Wardrup.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Mary Wynne Wardrup; son, Robert Wardrup and wife Anjali of Graham; four daughters, Robbie Jean Wardrup and Misti McCoy of Jacksboro, Ruth Ann Liles and husband Jim of Umpqua, OR, Cathy Varner and husband Charles of Gilmer, and Denise Fortner & Michael Pearce of Mineola; two brothers, Billy Glen Wardrup and wife Madelyne of Payne Springs, and Jimmy Joe Wardrup and wife Carol of Mt. Vernon; seventeen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
