Services for Mr. Lee Roy Wells, 94, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Bro. David Crain officiating.
Interment will follow in Yantis Cemetery, Yantis.
Mr. Wells passed away February 11, 2024, in Tyler. He was born November 28, 1929, in Dallas. Lee Roy grew up in Dallas, lived in Garland for many years before moving to Grand Saline 26 years ago. He was a member of Sandflat Baptist Church and loved fishing. Lee Roy was a wonderful husband, father, hard worker, and provider for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Walton Wells Sr. and Margarite Leonard Wells; and three brothers, Raymond Walton Wells Jr., Billy Joe Wells, and Clyde Wells.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Flo Wells of Grand Saline; two daughters, Patricia Tast and husband Robert of Allen, and Penny Dabbs and husband Damon of Garland; 2 grandchildren, Christy Lee Ogle, and Brandon Dabbs; great-granddaughter, Alison Ogle; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Damon Dabbs, Brandon Dabbs, and Jesse Woodrum.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Monday, February 19, 2024, at the funeral home, in Grand Saline.
