ALBA – Funeral services for Ronnie Dale West, 67, of Alba, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2018, at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, Alba, with Bro. Bryon George officiating.
Burial will be in Colony Cemetery, Alba, under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Ronnie passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018, in Rains County.
He was born Friday, September 28, 1951, in Dallas, to Lloyd Eugene and Dorothy Lavell Rohus West. He lived most of his life in the Alba area. He was a foreman in the steel mill at Tyler Pipe where he retired after 38 years. He was a rancher, welder, fisherman, and a Christian.
He is survived by wife of 17 years, Sandra Basham of Alba; mother, Dorothy West of Alba; son and wife, Jody and Heather West of Golden; twin sister and husband, Bonnie and Kent McAree of Alba; sister, Tammie West of Winnsboro; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Ricky West; and son, Michael West.
Pallbearers will be Corey McAree, Ty West, Kaden West, Weston Potts, Larry Harris, and Curtis Harris.
Honorary pallbearers are Cody McAree and Jimmy Rohus.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
