Bobby Wheatley

Mr. Bobby Jack Wheatley, 83, of Alba, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024, in Dallas. He was born September 18, 1940, in Waxahachie, to Jackson Anderson and Nolie Opal Jenkins Wheatley. Bobby moved to the Alba area, from Lancaster, 20 years ago. He worked for Lockheed Martin, as a mechanical engineer testing rockets, for 43 years before retiring. He also worked as a police officer for the city of Lancaster for over 20 years. Bobby had a love for fishing and enjoyed countless hours on Lake Fork, during his retirement years. He touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Rhonda Joslin Wheatley.

Survivors include his daughter, Melissa Mohr and husband Michael of Alba; granddaughter, Rachael Mohr; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will have a Celebration of Life honoring Bobby at a later date.
