Graveside services for Laura Ann Whitus, 78, of Abilene, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2020, at Colony Cemetery, Alba, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Laura passed away September 3, 2020, in an Abilene hospital. She was born July 13, 1942, in Alba, to H. R. & Clarice Irene Bullock Whitus. She spent her early years in the East Texas area, before moving to Abilene about 25 years ago. Laura was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Daniel Lee Whitus; and six sisters, Joyce Whitus, Betty Whitus, Shirley Beeks, Madie Criswell, Brenda Gotch, and Linda Whitus.
Survivors include three sisters, Frances Pruett of Abilene, Maudine Thackerson of Granbury, and Irene Turner of Abilene; and numerous other relatives and friends.
