Irene Whitworth

Irene Whitworth, 99 of Grand Saline, passed away June 7, 2013 in Grand Saline. She was born September 24, 1913 in Kaufman to John Albert & Esther Davis Brasher. She spent many years in Rosco and the last 37 years in Grand Saline where she was a member of Grand Saline Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 48 years, Troy Whitworth; son, Alton Whitworth; daughter, Barbara Taylor Jones; special friend, Deddy Jones; two brothers, John Brasher and Joe Brasher; and three sisters, Pauline Lyles, Flora Kirksey and Mary Hogue.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Debbie & James Jackson of Rockwall; daughter-in-law, Mary Whitworth of Canyon; brother, Barney Brasher of Houston; eight grandchildren, Susan & Mark Roskos of Henderson, Lisa Whitworth and Wade Campbell of Stillwater, OK, John & Bette Whitworth of Canyon, Kim & Darrell Neal of Grand Saline, Amber & Charles Barrett of Dallas, Jami & Brian Schwartz of Rockwall, Jason & Brittney Jackson of Rockwall, and Teresa Jackson of Houston; twelve great-grandchildren, Kristin Alexander, Shane Whitworth, Taylor Cravens, Logan Cravens, Bria Schwartz, Rylee Schwartz, Andrew Barretero, Ethan Barretero, Kelsey Sandell, Shayne Neal, Cody Neal and Nicole Neal; and two great-great-grandchildren, Rodney & Ella.
