Graveside services for Mrs. Dorlene Williams, 82, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Sand Flat Cemetery with Bro. D’Wayne Williams officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Williams passed away August 26, 2021, in Grand Saline. She was born June 17, 1939, in DeKalb, to Ronald Eugene & Juanette Hartzo Cordell. She spent her early years in DeKalb and Hughes Springs. She lived most of her life in Grand Saline where she was a member of Main Street Baptist Church. Dorlene worked at GSHS cafeteria for 10 years and was very active in the sports boosters for 31 years. She is preceded in death by her parents; Ronald & Bonnie Cordell and Harold & Juanette Walker; husband of 53 years, James Earl Williams; brother, Johnny Walker; sister, Yvonne Rasco; son-in-law, Tommy Miller; brother-in-laws, Don Rasco, Mark Bryant, and Bill Buchanan; and nephew, Mike Buchanan.
Survivors include son, Kip Williams and wife Leza of Grand Saline; daughter, Kelly Miller of Grand Saline; brother, Herman Vess and wife Marty of Quitman; sister, Susie Bryant Cornett and husband Bryan of Grand Saline; grandchild, Kelsie Woodall and husband Eric of Grand Saline; great-grandchild, Kinlee Woodall; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Cornett, Tyrel Evans, Asa Evans, Alan Ladd, Adam Chastain, and Carson McClure.
