Services for Mr. James Leonard Willis, 82, Fruitvale, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2015, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. David Hicks officiating.
Interment will be in Creagleville Cemetery.
Mr. Willis passed away August 6, 2015, at his home in Fruitvale. He was born October 12, 1932, in Ruston, LA, to James Leonard & Lillian Vandora Mayo Willis. Mr. Willis was a member of Main Street Baptist Church and had worked for Delta Airlines for over 21 years. Many people have been blessed with his handmade walking canes which he truly enjoyed crafting. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and music. He spent much time making sure that people he encountered were right with God. Mr. Willis is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Leona Willis; daughter, Linda Sue Morris; and grandson, Jason Lee Morris.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara & Kyle Dauth of Arlington, Sharon & Ricky White of Canton, and Doris Willis of Canton; five grandchildren, Timothy Jay White, Matthew James White, Elizabeth Willis, Brandon Dauth and Krista Dauth Gann; one great-grandson, Phoenix Jesse Clark; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ricky White, Kyle Dauth, Dale South, Tim White, Matt White and Bobby Gullett.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Bartley Funeral Home.
