Services for Mr. Horace Homer “Bud” Willmon, 84 of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2011 at Bartley Funeral Home with Blane Brewer officiating.
Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.
Mr. Horace Homer “Bud” Willmon passed away October 19, 2011 in Grand Saline. He was born May 21, 1927 in Forney to Horace Homer & Beulah Adams Willmon. He had lived in Grand Saline over 50 years where he was a member of Silver Lake Baptist Church and an associate member of Sheriff’s Association of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Vannessa Willmon of Grand Saline; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynda & Hurtis Johnson of Beaumont, Patricia & Buddy Camper of Lindale, Nelda & Joe French of Shreveport, LA; Brynda & Dr. Joe Mitchell of Palestine; step-children, Christina Read of Edgewood, Vena Williams of Paradise and Emmitt Williams of Mesquite; brothers and sister-in-law, Hilliard & Phaneta Willmon of Quinlan and Kenneth Willmon of Paris; sister, Betty Hartsfield of Arkansas; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and step-grandson, Christopher Williams of Edgewood.
Pallbearers will be Blane Brewer, Phillip Brewer, Erwin Brewer, Christopher Williams, Christina Read and Edwin Read.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
