Thomas Willmon Iii Iii

Thomas Hudgin Willmon, III has moved home to live with his mom. He carried with him all of his best memories of time spent with friends and family, and he left all of us with some of the best memories of his laughter, his sarcasm, and his words to live by “Live Laugh Love”. On Sundays during football season we may still be able to hear him cheering on the Cowboys, most likely wearing his angel robe with the sleeves cut off. Perhaps from his new vantage point the Cowboys might finally have a coach to listen to.

Thomas entered this world on February 17, 1967 in Grand Saline to his proud parents, Thomas Willmon, Jr. and Karan Lowe, both of whom preceded him in death along with his brother Todd Willmon. Thomas brought them great joy, and maybe a few gray hairs. He graduated Rockwall High School in 1985 and spent his life on the roads driving trucks with the music cranked up and windows down.

Thomas leaves behind a family that will forever love him and forever miss him, including his daughter Dannielle Cruise and her husband Brad and his granddaughters Huntlee and Rhittlee of Caddo Mills, his three sisters, Teresa Morrow and her husband Tracy of Grand Saline, Melissa Allen and her husband Mark of Tyler, Michelle O’Keefe and her husband Justin of Chesapeake, VA; his brother Josh Willmon and his wife Jenny of Fate; his stepmom Betty Willmon of Fate; his longtime companion and support Mary Ann Watson; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Services for Thomas are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday February 18, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.

Interment will be in Sand Flat Cemetery.
