Willowdeen Ray Lindsey

Services for Willowdeen Ray Boydston Lindsey, 104, of Terrell, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, October 31, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Terrell, with Pastor John Lowrie officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.

Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery, Grand Saline.

Mrs. Lindsey passed away October 24, 2025, in Terrell. She was born July 9, 1921, in Wills Point, to Ira D. and Hazel Glynn Tucker Boydston. Willowdeen graduated from Wills Point High School, Class of 1938, and later attended Drawns Business School in Dallas. On October 12, 1948, she married Charles Sewell Lindsey in Dallas. She lived most of her life in Oak Cliff before moving to Terrell in 1992. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Terrell, the Red Hat Society, and worked as an engineering clerk for the VA Hospital. Willowdeen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Lindsey; two sons, Stephen Paul Lindsey and Charles Michael Lindsey; six sisters, Shirley Neill Haynes, Tommye Little, Bobbye Glen Boydston, Maedell Boydston; Joyce Wanda Boydston; and an infant sister.

Survivors include her two grandchildren Eric Lindsey and wife Lisa of Houston and Justin Lindsey and wife Melanie of New Hampshire; and two great-grandchildren, Sofia Lindsey and Daniela Lindsey.
