Carol Witcher

Services for Carol Starnes Witcher, 76, of Tyler, are scheduled for 2 pm, Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Thomison officiating.
Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Witcher passed away July 26, 2017 in a Tyler hospital. She was born in Golden on May 14, 1941 to Paul and Lucille Mason Starnes. On June 4, 1966, she married James Stephen Witcher in Weatherford. Carol spent many years in Shallowater and lived the last 17 years in Tyler. She worked as a school teacher and counselor for 30 years. Carol was preceded in death by her father, Paul Starnes; mother, Lucille Farmer; brother, Paul Ray Starnes; and granddaughter, Kelsie Edwards Raulston.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Steve Witcher of Tyler; two daughters, Stephanie Edwards and husband Loyd of Murchison and Christy Blakney of Shallowater; seven grandchildren, Brittany Hampton and husband Matt, Bradley Edwards, Lonnie Edwards and wife Alyssa, Jared Edwards and wife Inga, Meghan Heinrich, Courtney Heinrich, and Garrett Blakney; grandson-in-law, John Raulston; five great-grandchildren, Kayden, Addison, Binne, Rosaleigh, and Jacob; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Loyd Edwards, Jr., Bradley Edwards, Matt Hampton, Garrett Blakney, Christopher Starnes, John Raulston, Kayden Walker, and Lonnie Edwards.

The family will receive friends 4-6 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
