ALBA – Graveside services for Linda Kay Parker Wood, 61, of Lewisville, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at Salem Cemetery, Alba, with Rev. Timothy Boles officiating, under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mrs. Wood passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, in a Lewisville hospital.
She was born May 9, 1951, in Electra, to the late Neal Percel and Geneva Irene Rodawalt Parker. She married Willie Norman Wood, who was from Wood County, September 17, 1987, in Dallas. She was a life long resident of Dallas, and a member of Last Generation Church in Mesquite.
Survivors include her son, Corey Wood and wife Tammy of Forney; daughters, Lisa Hutchins of Mesquite, Stacie Hutchins of Lewisville, and Jeanette Cox and husband Kenneth of Coppell; brothers and spouses, Bruce and Joy Parker of Yuma, Arizona, and Ralph and Sharon Parker of Mesquite; sisters and spouses, Patricia Duncan of Dallas, Elaine and Gobel McConnell of Kemp, and Gwendolyn and Timothy Boles of Forney; four grandsons and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman Wood, 1996; daughter, Tabatha Hutchins; and two brothers.
Pallbearers are Timothy Boles, Jr., Chase Boles, Aaron Lopez, and Alex Lopez.
Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
