Mike Woodrum

Services for Mike "Woody" Woodrum, 56, of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, December 17, 2015, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Homer Morgan and Bro. Eddie Paul Stanley officiating.
Interment will be in Rogers Cemetery.
Mr. Woodrum passed away December 13, 2015, at his home in Fruitvale. He was born September 30, 1959, in Dallas to Clifford Glenn & Bonnie Hope Woodrum. He spent all of his life in Fruitvale where he started school and attended Roundflat Pentecostal Church. He later attended Grand Saline ISD where he graduated Grand Saline High School Class of 1978. Woody received a degree in Petroleum Engineering at TJC, worked for many years in the oil field, was a heavy equipment operator for Jerry Mayne, helped Jody Mayne in the start up of JMC Contractors, and spent the last several years dispatching for TMS in Grand Saline. He dedicated his time to his nephews, nieces and all his family. Woody was a wonderful brother and friend. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Williams.
Survivors include his father, Clifford Woodrum and wife Carolee of Mineola; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn & Peggy Woodrum of Fruitvale and Kevin & Kay Woodrum of Grand Saline; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Tammie & Savannah Woodrum of Fruitvale and Paula & Buddy Winstead of Grand Saline; two step-brothers, Phillip Stephens of Houston and Danny Stephens of Houston; three nieces, four nephews, two great-nephews, a great-niece; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Tony Miller, Phillip Smith, Eddie Smith, Rodney Hetmer, Jody Mayne and Kevin Lyle.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Woodrum, Butch Woodrum, Derek Koonce, Billy Woodrum, Ben Koonce, Craig Lott and Brian Woodrum.
Memorials may be made to Rogers Cemetery Association.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
