ALBA – Funeral services for Michael Keith Wright, 56, of Alba, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, Alba, with Bro. Byron George and Bro. Jerry Jackson officiating.
Burial will be in Turner Cemetery, Emory, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mr. Wright passed away Friday, January 27, 2017, in Forney.
He was born Thursday, August 4, 1960, in Quitman, to John Alvis and Melba Jean Strebeck Wright. He lived all his life in the Emory/Alba area and was a motor-hand in the oil field industry working for Latshaw Drilling. Michael was a member of Bright Star Baptist Church, Alba.
Survivors include his mother, Melba Wright of Alba; son, Cody Wright of Yantis; daughters, Starla & Donald Shinn of Lone Oak and Breanna Spigner of Emory; step-daughters, Michelle & Michael Goodson of Pittsburg and Wendy & Johnny Sigler of Winnsboro; brothers, Wayne & Diana Wolfe of Emory and Ricky & Myra Wright of Atlanta; sisters, Linda & David Morrow of Yantis and Gina & J.C. Money of Forney; sister-in-law Dianne Wright of Alba; and grandchildren, Kelsey, Kenzie, Ryder, and Trevor.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Wright; brother, Ray Wright; grandparents, Joe & Fannie Strebeck, Freddie Wright and Maxine & Everett Prater.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home.
