Services for Mr. Israel Flores Zarate, 21, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2025, at Community Christian Church, Ben Wheeler, with Pastor Pablo Palma officiating.
Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Israel passed away on April 20, 2025, in Tyler. He was born on January 22, 2004, in Tyler, to Javier and Catalina Flores Zarate.
A lifelong resident of Grand Saline, Israel graduated from Grand Saline High School with the Class of 2022. During his school years, he proudly played saxophone in the Mighty Indian Band. He later began working as a machine operator for Venture Metals+ in Dallas. Israel was deeply devoted to his Christian faith, his family, and his work. He was known as a good son, a kind and caring brother, and an amazing uncle.
Survivors include his girlfriend, Alyze; parents, Javier & Cathy Zarate of Grand Saline; grandfather, Pedro Flores of Guanajuato, Mexico; four sisters, Abigail Zarate Sanchez (Fabian), Ruby Zarate, Esmeralda Vicenta Zarate, and Elizabeth Celeste Zarate, all of Grand Saline; two nieces, Valerie Arie Sanchez, and Samantha A. Sanchez; nephew, Isaac F. Sanchez; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the funeral home.
