ALBA – Services for Nellie M. McKenzie,73, of Alba, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September, 24, 2014, at Enon Baptist Church, Alba, with Bro. Reggie Day officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Alba, under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mrs. McKenzie passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014, in a Tyler hospital.
She was born Wednesday, May 28, 1941, in Rains County, to the late Isaac Bowie and Nellie Evelyn Adair Hass. She had lived in Alba since 1958. She was a homemaker and a member of Enon Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Don McKenzie of Alba, and Wesley McKenzie and wife Laurie of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter, Sandra Thompson of Alba; brothers and spouses, Isaac Andrew Hass of Emory, Joe Dell and Phyllis Hass of Alba, Douglas and Pam Hass of Alba, Randy and Cathy Hass of Golden, and Danny Pat and Bobbie Jean Hass of Kaufman; sisters and spouses, Darlene and Lonnie Joe Hayes of Hawkins and Diane and Ray Wright of Alba; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and one great-great-grandchild on the way; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don McKenzie, May 7, 2013; brothers W.C. Hass, C.H. Hass, Bowie Hass, Odell Hass, Howard Hass, Bobby Hass, and Harris Hass.
Pallbearers are Johnny Ray Wright, Brandon Hass, Chris Hass, Brian Wright, Brad Lennon and Chad Lennon.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening 6-8 p.m.
