Obituary for Jessie Williams

Services for Jessie Williams, 83, of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, March 13, 2017, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Bro. Eddie Paul Stanley officiating.
Interment will follow at 2 p.m., in Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas.
Mr. Williams passed away March 11, 2017, at his home in Fruitvale. He was born December 7, 1933, in Caddo Mills to I.N. & Linnie Mae McCormack Williams. Mr. Williams was a farmer in his early years and also owned/operated Williams Lawn & Maintenance. He spent 35 years in Mesquite before moving to Fruitvale about 25 years ago where he attended Round Flat Pentecostal Church and Riverside Mission Church for many years. He worked for Sears for 23 years and had volunteered many years at the Denton State School. He had a servants heart. He helped at Troy Suggs Funeral Home for several years, picked tomatoes with J. R. Hazel, substituted as custodian for Fruitvale ISD and was involved and supported all activities with his kids and grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Danny Joe Williams; sister, Flossie Vaughan; and brother, Don Williams.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ruby Williams of Fruitvale; two sons, Jerry Lee Williams and wife Tanis of Fruitvale, and Eddie Williams and Victoria Parrish of Pottsboro; daughter, Peggy Jean Haverly and husband John of Eustace; two brothers, Willie E. Williams of Point and James Richard Williams and wife Christine of Garland; thirteen grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Melvadean Williams of Kaufman and Odie Nutt of Carthage; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Williams, Jon Williams, Timothy Williams, Kenneth Williams, John DuShane and Chuck Haverly.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
